Experienced. Innovative. Built In-House.

Our team of committed engineers comes from a diverse mechanical background, including machine design, project management, and automation experience. This is a team of people who love designing machinery and never stop innovating. A good press design begins with the basic building blocks of project management, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical design. Everything engineered at Neff Press is done in-house; we don’t outsource our designs. We can confidently say that our entire engineering team is well-versed in these areas, which results in high-quality press that will last a lifetime.

Customer Focused Project Management

Neff Press designs and builds hydraulic and electric servo press systems for manufacturers that need equipment matched to their process, production goals, and facility requirements. Whether the project calls for a standalone press or a fully integrated system, our team helps engineer a solution around the application from the start.
Engineering Kickoff & Scope Review

We review project requirements early to define deliverables, timelines, specifications, and customer expectations.

Design Collaboration

Our team works with customers through online or in-person design reviews to keep the press aligned with the application.

Process Qualification, FAT & SAT

Neff Press supports process qualifications, factory acceptance testing on our floor (FAT), and site acceptance at the customer’s factory (SAT) before final production handoff.

Advanced Mechanical Design

At our company, we proudly build custom hydraulic presses right here in the USA. Our commitment to quality and innovation ensures that our products meet the highest standards in the industry, contributing to the success of various sectors.

Press Frame Selection

Application experience helps Neff Press select the correct press frame based on loading conditions, tool clearance, and other production factors.

3-D CAD & Simulation

Complex 3-D CAD modeling via SolidWorks Professional, Finite Element Analysis, and Motion Simulation via SolidWorks Simulation Pro help ensure a robust press frame.

Tool Steel Selection

Wide application experience helps our team select tool steels for demanding press applications, tooling requirements, and production environments.

Mechanical System Integration

Neff Press can integrate coil feeds, indexers, shuttles, robots, pick and place units, quick die change, die racking equipment, and material handling devices.

Advanced Drive & Inspection Systems

Rack and pinon variable-speed multi-axis drives, Drive-by-Wire joystick control, scales, vision, contact and non-contact probes, augers, gearboxes, and roller chain can support more complete press systems.

Automation & Factory Planning

Our team can collaborate with customer part and die files through multiple 3-D file formats, simulate machine installations and rigging in a 3-D factory environment, and integrate robotics to increase output, precision, speed, and safety.

Clean & Robust

Hydraulic Design

Neff Press hydraulic systems are designed for clean layout, reliable service, and application-specific performance. Scalable designs can range from simple discrete valving to precision servo hydraulics, with proprietary integrated manifold blocks, test ports for troubleshooting, and hydraulic units engineered around fluid velocity, tank size, tank layout, pump suction condition, and control of fluid aeration.
Clean Hydraulic Layout

Proprietary integrated manifold blocks, test ports, filtration, particle counters, cooling, and sealed systems help support cleaner troubleshooting and fluid condition management.

Energy-Efficient Performance

Load-holding check circuits, accumulators, variable-speed pump drives, and optimal motor selection through RMS sizing help improve hydraulic efficiency.

Built for Safety & Compatibility

Redundant valving, high safety factors on pressure-rated components, and compatibility with Water-Glycol, Quintolubric, EcoSafe, and other fire-resistant oils support demanding applications.

Safe and Modern Electrical Design

Electrical systems with a “by the book” approach to safety, compliance, and long-term serviceability. Our team supports UL 508a certification, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and applicable safety standards while designing controls that fit the press, the process, and the customer’s production environment.
Electrical Compliance

Electrical systems can be designed around UL 508a certification, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and customer-specific machine standards.

Safety Code Support

Neff Press supports ANSI B11.2 (1995), CSA Z142, EN693, and pertinent OSHA standards, with a Neff Press engineer serving on the ANSI B11.2 committee.

Third-Party Sign-Off

When needed, Neff Press works with the approving entity, such as a Pre-start contractor for CSA Z142, to help expedite sign-off by the third-party inspector.

Explosion-Proof Design

Explosion-proof designs can comply with NEC 505 and ATEX for hazardous production environments and specialized applications.

Controls & Programming

Our team works with PLC Programming, Allen Bradley Rockwell Toolkit, Siemens TIA Portal, Delta RMC Tools, and AutoCAD Electrical for schematic design and panel layout.

Safety & Process Reporting

Safety controls can range from a safety relay to full safety PLC solutions, with reporting for OEE, pass/fail data, press-fit curves, in-die quality analysis, and diagnostics.
